ALL and i say ALL PASSWORDS AND mnemonic phrase WRITE ON PAPER !

This info down should work for any crypto coin wallet and to do that to be 100% sure first try it with min amount of crypto in your wallet so lets say you have BTC wallet and you didnt do this ever first try to put in your wallet let say 100 satoshi then do the back up and delete your wallet then try to from that back up that you did instal new wallet and import that back up file and see do you have 100 satoshi in wallet if you have you are god to go.

If you are new in crypto the best for you is to download some multi coin wallet my suggestion is

Exodus  Crypto Wallet install it only from source exodus web site for it you will need to make your password to get in and also you will get 12 word mnemonic phrase with it you can install your wallet on new device or if you forgot your password delete the wallet install new wallet input mnemonic phrase and your wallet and your funds are in your hands again.

Do some dry runs with exodus no need to put crypto in to see how it works!

0. geting a wallet ( always from original source for any coin you want )
1. download and install wallet
2. synchronize your wallet( meaning download the blockchain its automatic )
3. copy your default address to notpad ( this address will be the only one in it wallet will have it ready for you it will be in the receive tab in your wallet)
4. beck up your wallet data (save that file somewhere safe on thumb drive, put it on 2-3 thumb drives just to be safe if something happens to one of them )0. to restorr wallet to new device coz you did buy new comp/mob or what ever do this

1. download and install wallet
2. synchronize your wallet( meaning download the blockchain its automatic )
3. go to c-drive/user/appdata (if appdata you cant see go to folder options and on view tab click on show hiden files)
4. open appdata/roaming/(your new wallet)click on your new wallet
5. rename your new wallet.dat to wallet.dat_orginal
6.go to your thumb drive and take your wallet beck up and copy it to your wallet and rename it to wallet.dat
7. close and open wallet and your coins will be there
